The Women’s Program is a series of rides, clinics and events to encourage women to experience the joys and benefits of biking, and to build community among women who bike. We provide support for women of all skill levels — from the first-time rider to the seasoned urban commuter.
What a glorious day for New England’s first-ever Women’s Bike Ride and Festival! On August 16th, over 150 women enjoyed riding together, learning new skills, and celebrating with live music, food and fun in West Roxbury’s beautiful Millennium Park. The rides kicked off with an inspiring send-off by City Councilor Ayanna Pressley and Megan Costello, Executive Director of the Boston Women’s Commission. Later in the day, our skills clinics in mountain biking, mechanics, road cycling, commuting and learn-to-ride brought many smiles and helped build new skills. Thank you to all the supporters, participants, volunteers and partners who made this landmark event possible!
Moms and kids and friends, oh my! Despite the gloomy weather, our first Mom and Kid bike ride brightened the day in Franklin Park with streamers and face paint and kids on bikes. If you missed the ride, join us July 19th for the next installment in the Mom and Kid series.
Announcing our inaugural Mom & Kid bike ride! It will be Saturday, June 14th in Franklin Park and include face painting, streamers, ice cream and bikes. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday. (Did we mention free Zoo passes for kids?). Moms, come enjoy a day in the park with your kid(s)!
